Westside Lending is not a lender and does not make credit decisions. This page explains how our free loan-request service works, how we may be paid, and what borrowers should know about loan costs before accepting any offer from a lender in our network.

Westside Lending is not a lender

Westside Lending operates a lead-matching and referral service that connects consumers with lenders and lending partners. We do not make loans, approve or deny applications, set rates or fees, or fund loans.

When you submit a request, we share it with lenders and partners in our network. Each lender decides on its own whether to make an offer and on what terms. Submitting a request does not mean you will receive an offer, and receiving an offer does not mean you will be approved. Any loan agreement is between you and the lender, not Westside Lending.

How we are compensated

Westside Lending may receive compensation from lenders and lending partners when a consumer submits a request or when a loan is funded.

Compensation may affect which lenders see a request and the order in which lenders receive it. Compensation does not change the APR, fees or terms a lender offers you; those are set by the lender based on its own criteria. Our service is free to borrowers, and you are never required to accept an offer.

Not all lenders or products are included

The Westside Lending network does not include every lender or every loan product available in the market.

Other lenders, banks and credit unions may offer terms that are better for your situation. We encourage you to compare offers, including any from your own bank or a local credit union, before deciding.

APR range and representative example

Personal loans offered by lenders in the Westside Lending network typically range from about 6% to 35.99% APR, with loan amounts of $500 to $5,000.

Typical repayment terms run from 3 to 36 months, and some lenders offer longer terms. Your actual APR depends on your credit history, income, debts, state, loan amount and the lender's policies. Some lenders charge an origination fee, which is included in the APR.

Representative example: $2,000 borrowed for 12 months at 24.99% APR is about $190 per month, about $2,281 repaid in total (about $281 interest). Estimate only. Your rate, payment and total cost may be higher or lower. See our rates page for more estimates.

Availability varies by state

Loan availability, amounts, rates and terms vary by state because each state sets its own lending laws.

Some lenders do not operate in every state, and some products are not available to residents of certain states. A lender will only make an offer where it is licensed or otherwise permitted to lend.

Late and missed payments

Missing a loan payment may lead to late fees, returned-payment fees and collection activity set by your lender.

Lenders may report late or missed payments to credit bureaus, which can lower your credit score and make future borrowing harder or more expensive. If you think you may miss a payment, contact your lender before the due date to ask about options. Renewal and extension policies, if any, are set by the lender and described in your loan agreement. Borrow only what you can repay.

Editorial independence

Westside Lending editorial content is written to inform, and lender compensation does not decide what our guides say.

Our compare lenders page is informational and contains no paid placement. Our editors do not accept payment to review, rank or mention a lender.
